Mr. Lindsey received both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Wyoming. In practice since 1988, Mr. Lindsey represents clients in criminal matters and the collateral consequences of criminal charges. Originally a Wyoming Public Defender, Mr. Lindsey moved to Denver in 1992 to open a practice emphasizing criminal defense. As part of Mr. Lindsey's criminal defense practice, he has represented defendants in criminal cases in both state and federal courts at both trial and appellate levels. In addition to his practice Mr. Lindsey is an adjunct professor of law at Denver University College of Law.
Mr. Lindsey also has represented numerous people in death penalty cases at both the trial and appellate level. Mr. Lindsey is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Districts of Arizona, Colorado, Texas, and Wyoming, the Colorado Supreme Court, the Wyoming Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court of Arizona
As a third-generation native of Wyoming, I’ve lived and worked in the surrounding area for most of my life. I was raised, schooled, and began my career as a Wyoming public defender in 1988 before making the short trip to Colorado in 1992 to find that Colorado’s values are my values.
